The 2009 Annual Meeting of the Friends of the Brownell Library,
always free and open to the public,
took place on Thursday, July 16th at 7 P.M.

The speaker was: Sam Coale,


Professor of American Literature and Culture at Wheaton College,
book reviewer for the Providence Journal,
 theatre, film and book reviewer for the East Side Monthly.

Mr. Coale is the author of many books including: 

Mesmerism and Hawthorne: Mediums of American Romance
Paradigms of Paranoia: The Culture of Conspiracy in Contemporary American Fiction
          Mystery of Mysteries: Cultural Differences and Designs
